Why do you admit in Nursing?

B.Sc in Nursing is a four years course under The University of Dhaka and affiliated by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council. Nursing is a great profession. After completing this course you will be able to be an expert nurse and you will get a great opportunity for leaving your own mark in the community service as an essential worker. There are so many Hospital, clinic & Diagnostic center but they do not have any qualified expert nurse. Our objective is to produce competent professional nurses who will be able to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and attitude to provide quality of Nursing and midwifery care in the aspects of practical field to meet expected needs and expectations and to promote, maintain and restore health of individuals, families and communities in common, simple and complex health problems/situations.

The requirement for Admission:

The students will have to get G.P.A 7.00 in S.S.C and H.S.C jointly from Science group with a Biology background with GPA 3.00 in current year and previous year. If GPA is less than 3 (in S.S.C and H.S.C) he/she will not able to apply for this course.

Students will be selected on the basis of admission test conducted by Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC). Those who got minimum 40 marks in the admission test will be eligible for getting admission in our College.

Lab facilities:

All the labs of our College are well equipped with modern instruments & Apparatus. Labs are Anatomy & Physiology, Midwifery, Nursing, Computer, Microbiology and Nutrition from which a student can acquire all kinds of practical knowledge.

Higher study:

After completing this course, the students will be eligible for studying M.Sc. degree. Which will be soon offered by Saic Nursing College.

Admission procedures will be formulated and conducted by the concerned authority.

Total Courses and Credits:

  1. There are total 17 courses in Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, which are divided into 02 years.
  2. In each term there are 02 examinations which is conducted by affiliated university.

Curriculum Structure

The overall course structure is designed for 44 weeks out of 52 weeks in a year, covering theoretical and practical sessions including revision and year final examination. Remaining 8 weeks is kept for leaves and extra-curricular activities.
